🌴 Today is the 90th week of our dedicated service towards restoring and beautification of Puzhal Lake. We started our program by 06.30 a.m.
🌴 Especially, our primary task was to sow the palm seeds in the vicinity of Puzhal Lake. This task was carried out under the guidance of Mr. Baskar (former Indian army) – active SWoTT volunteer.
🌴 We, SWoTT volunteers, along with other associates started to cut and clean the unwanted plants. And, palm seeds were sowed over there.
🌴 It is noteworthy to mention that there was immense interest shown by participating associates and SwoTT volunteers. And, indeed it was welcome note.
🌴 Next, in today’s work, Lawyer Ismail, Subhash, and Gopinath took part as special guest, and encouraged and motivated all the participants.
🌴 Besides, in case if we want to give back something to our generations, no better return than to educate our kids, neighbours, relatives on “planting sapling” and “restoring lake” for our future generations. And, undoubtedly, of all the most, if we all work and educate together, we can make our environment much better.
🌴 SWOTT’s President Mr. Parasuram appreciated and thanked all the volunteers who involved in today’s cleaning and palm seed sowing program.
🌴 We have pledged, on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, to “sow 75,000 palm seeds” in and around 75 lakes across Chennai and its proximity. And, todays’ activity was part of “sow 75,000 palm seeds” program.
🌴 Sowing 75,000 palm seeds is not an easy task. It is imperative to highlight at this time that we need more and more volunteers to support us. With that in mind, we warmly invite more and more enthusiastic volunteer to join us, and make the task of “sow 75,000 palm seeds” a successful mission.
🌴 If you, too, want to join with us (SWoTT) and join us in community service, we warmly welcome you and your team to participate us in the forthcoming weeks.
🌴 Also, SWoTT provided tea and snacks to all the good-hearted volunteers who participated in today’s service.
