TAXI AMBULANCE

TAXI AMBULANCE
During the second wave of COVID pandemic, several hospitals faced lot of issue with the lack of ventilator required for medication of COVID-affected people. At that moment, most of the ambulances were working round-the-clock and therefore was not available for most of the patients. Thus, patients were not able to go to hospital on time for treatment.
Thus, SWOTT thought out an idea of converting the “7+1-seater cars” into potential ambulance (called as taxi ambulance). The converted car must have stretcher, ventilator with O2 cylinder, and other essential medical equipment. SWOTT approached TIPVODA and CRF to convert this idea into reality.
Soon after, next day, Tamil Nadu CM Mr. MK Stalin has officially ordered to convert almost 300 “7+1-seater cars” into taxi-ambulance. As a result, in successive weeks, issues of ambulance and ventilator were reduced drastically.
